In a major move, Indian Government announced to increase the age limit for vaccination to 45 years. Earlier in the phase the Indian Government vaccinated majority of its frontline workers including sanitazation workers, police personnel and healthcare workers. Besides that the country also started vaccinating its elderly population (people over the age of 60). In the earlier phase, Indian Government also include the people over the age of 45 with comorbidities.
In the latest phase, the government announced to vaccinate its adult population (over the age 45) from 1st April. Currently, India is vaccinating either through Indian made Covaxin or through CoviShield (Manufactured by Serum Institute).
