Practicing Law is one of the most reputed profession and every year thousands of professionals enroll as a lawyer with the bar council to practice law with different types of courts in India. The Bar Council of India, a statuatory body under the ministry of law, regulates legal practice and legal education in India. The bar council of India also gives recognition or accredition to the universities or colleges which imparts legal education.
To practice law in Indian courts, the candidates has to pass a standerized test of analytical ability and basics of law conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The standerized test, known as AIBE (All India Bar Examination), is a national level test conducted across 40 cities of India. The test will have 100 objective type questions and the duration of the test will be 3 hour 30 minutes. Post qualifying the test, the candidates will recieve ‘Certificate of Practice’ by BCI (Bar Council of India).
Eligibity:
Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria as required for appearing in AIBE (X)
- Applicant to be a citizen of India.
- Applicants should hold a LLB degree (either 3 years or 5 years)
- Aspirants should hold registration as an advocate professional from any registered state bar council.
- They should hold their valid Advocate ID issued by state bar council.
- Candidates,who are qualifying the LLB degree in the current session,cannot apply for AIBE(X).
